White-tail deer are often difficult to spot since they blend in well with the background. Deer are always on the alert for trouble, even while eating. They have a sensitive nose, as well excellent ears and eyes. At the first sign of danger they are off. When they flee, their white tail goes up as a warning to other deer that trouble is near.
